Alcohol-free white wine

Noughty Blanc is an alcohol-free alternative to white wine made from Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc grapes. These grapes are harvested from dry-farmed vineyards in the Western Cape region of South Africa.

This wine is dealcoholized using gentle rotating cone technology. This process is carried out under vacuum and at a low temperature to ensure the wine retains its characteristic body, color, and flavor. The result is a premium alcohol-free wine that you can find in the world’s most modern bars, restaurants, and hotels, such as The Mandarin Oriental, the Ritz-Carlton, and the Raffles.

Tasting Notes
Light and aromatic, dealcoholized white wine. On the nose, notes of yellow apple, lime, and a floral touch of chamomile. On the palate, honeysuckle, refreshing citrus and delicate jasmine flavors stand out. Its flavor achieves an elegant balance between acidity and fruitiness, with a well-defined profile that invites you to enjoy every sip. Perfect for those looking for a non-alcoholic white wine that does not compromise on taste.

Description

A delicious non-alcoholic white wine to enjoy without worrying about anything: Thomson & Scott has created Noughty, the world’s first premium non-alcoholic wine range.

The Western Cape region (in the southernmost tip of South Africa) is where the Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay grapes used to make Noughty Blanc are grown. Specifically, both grapes grow on steep, southwest-facing slopes on well-drained soils. Both the orientation (which seeks to capture the ocean breeze and the cold Benguela current) and the composition (decomposed granite, very rich in clays) favor the growth of the vines, which are planted directly on the ground, without trellising.

After a 14-day fermentation at 14-15 °C, the grapes and must undergo a reductive treatment to prevent oxidation and preserve their fruity flavor. The wine remains on the lees for 2 months to add complexity. It is then dealcoholized using soft rotating cone technology. This process is carried out under vacuum and at low temperature to ensure that the wine retains its characteristic body, color, and flavor.

Serving Recommendation
It pairs perfectly with fish and rice dishes. Serve at 7°C.
