A few months ago we talked about the drinkoneta that is sweeping weddings, communions, corporate events and parties of all kinds for its unique content: an Ape Piaggio 50 that arrives in any corner of the peninsula to offer a unique catering service of alcohol-free drinks. It is La Burbujita Sin that makes any gathering shine with its own light; it is a unique, healthy, classy and tasteful service. We spoke to Estrella, founder and CEO of La Burbujita Sin, who explains how the idea came about and what they have achieved in their short and promising career.

The origin

Estrella was living in The United Kingdom and there she noticed that several catering companies were offering their services in one of their emblematic vehicles, such as Piaggio vans. It occurred to him to do something like this in Spain and he realised that there was a niche market in the world of events that was not being filled, that of offering alcohol-free drinks. People knew about non-alcoholic beer and little else, but Estrella was well acquainted with the world of de-alcoholised wines, non-alcoholic vermouths and 0.0 distillates. He knew that there were suppliers such as The Blue Dolphin Store with a catalogue of alcohol-free drinks that was as extensive as it was delicious.

The first vehicle of La Burbujita Sin

La Burbujita Sin wanted an Ape Piaggio 50, for the beauty of its shape, the elegance of its design and its charisma. The whole Burbujita Sin team set out to look for it, not only in our country, but also abroad. In the end they got lucky in Seville, so the first Burbujita came from Seville. It was remodelled and adapted to carry the taps inside. Now it has been bringing its joy to all kinds of events for some time.

What kind of events are you looking for?

At first Estrella and his team focused on the wedding sector, but they quickly realised that alcohol-free drinks work in other segments: sport, wellness, private parties. On the other hand, for corporate events, they are very interested in disassociating themselves from alcohol, offering alternatives that are open to everyone, more inclusive and less harmful to health.

Alcohol-free events have great potential

People are becoming more and more aware of how to take care of their lifestyle and although this sector is quite new in Spain, we see that there is potential and we are happy with the results in our first year of existence.

The Alcohol-Free alternative triumphs

People are shocked to find alcohol-free drink catering. Many people are not familiar with alcohol-free vermouth and non-alcoholic distillates and are pleasantly surprised that at events and parties they can drink something alcohol-free and with less calories and sugar than the typical soft drinks or juices.
In addition, people who do not drink alcohol feel more included in events, and the experience is absolutely rewarding. It reaches out to those who are teetotalers because they can’t drink alcohol or because they don’t like it. But also pleases those who drink alcohol, it gives them the opportunity to try alcohol-free drinks and realise how good and fun they are.

The alcohol-free drinks that work best

Depending on the event, La Burbujita makes all kinds of cocktails and also carries wines, vermouths and beers. Sangria and white wine and sparkling wines work very well at events. They don’t ask for our mojito (it’s our own special non-alcoholic recipe) and sangria de cava.

Has anyone ever looked down on you for not having alcohol in it and then, after tasting the product, they have taken it back?

A lot of people. That’s the general trend, as people don’t know about the non-alcoholic alternatives and how tasty they are. They try it and start; “Are you sure it doesn’t have alcohol in it? I remember one fair where there was a young woman who was pregnant. After tasting what we had to offer, she commented: “You have given me wonderful surprise: I can drink my favourite drink without a drop of alcohol”.

What is the most curious event you have participated in?

La Burbujita Sin has been at all kinds of events, from a party for the manicure brand Jimena Nails to celebrating the seventh anniversary of Nesport and its healthy jaleitos last October.

Have you ever shared a space with an alcoholic beverage caterer at an event?

We tend to be complementary at christenings and weddings or more informal gatherings. But in company parties where we want to give a good image we are usually alone.

In which area do you operate?

All over the peninsula. We take our Piaggio and take care of everything wherever the event takes place.

Are you ready for Christmas?

Yes, there are more and more events, company dinners, get-togethers with friends. There are even families who want to give a chic, healthy and informal touch to their gatherings. In addition to corporate events. That’s why the balance after one year is very good. And even more so, considering that we haven’t done any big campaigns. We work mainly thanks to word of mouth and social networks.

There is no doubt that La Burbujita Sin is a young company that is going to give a lot to talk about.
